9 months already!

Grace had her 9 month check-up today and, lucky girl, this is apparently the no shots appointment! Yay!

We are so happy we have such a healthy girl. She recently got over a cold (we all did) but has otherwise only had one other virus (besides the ear infections at 6 months) so far this winter!

She still continues to be at the top of the weight charts, and this time her head was just as big!

Here are a few of the things Grace can do as a 9 month old:

• She eats everything! The only thing she has ever refused is peaches. And she's so good at chomping with those gums/teeth.
  
• She's great at feeding herself: bits of bread, peas, beans, noodles. It's so fun.
• Slowly learning to drink from a sippy cup. She holds it great, but mostly just bites it.
  
• She now has five teeth! Two on bottom and three on top.
  
• Waves hello and goodbye. She mostly just puts her arm and hand straight out, we're still working on the actual waving of the hand or fingers.
• Eensy weensy spider is still her favorite song, and she has started putting her hands together to try to do the motions when we sing it!
  
• Gives hugs and kisses (big, slobbery, open mouthed ones!)
  
• She knows the sound of a key in the lock of the front door and will get excited to see Daddy when she hears it.
  
• Kisses pictures of babies in her books and herself in the mirror, it's so funny!
  
• Can turn the pages of board books and almost always in the right direction! And I swear she knows what the phrase "turn the page!" means
• Loves her toys that make noise when she pushes buttons
• Loves ANYTHING with buttons: remotes, phones, etc. Her favorite remote is the one that controls the light and fan in our bedroom. She sits and stares up at the fan and pushes the buttons to make it go off and on.
• Still doesn't crawl, but scoots around a little on her bum, mostly in circles.
• Rolls from her back to her tummy all the time, but never from her tummy to her back. The Dr. said that was so strange since it's harder to roll from back to tummy...to each her own ;)
• Has become a fairly good sleeper. She's in a great schedule these days with two 1 1/2 hour naps a day and 10-11 hours at night.
  
• She is such a happy, cheerful, friendly girl. She smiles at everyone. (Though she does have some spunk in her for sure!) Every time I go out people ask me, "is she always this happy?" I feel very lucky and blessed to have such a sweety.
