Here are some photos from her birthday week:
We love going on bike rides, but haven't really done much biking since Grace was born so we've been thinking about getting her a bike trailer for her birthday. But, when we went to look for some we realized how expensive they are!! Luckily, we found this great bike trailer on craiglist and have had such a great time going on bike rides together. (When it's not raining!) Grace really loves it. She's not too fond of wearing the helmet, but once we get moving she is so happy.
(We borrowed the camo helmet from Grace's boy cousin...maybe we should go get her a more girly looking one! :)
On her actual birthday, we invited some friends over to watch Grace blow out her candle and eat cupcakes. After I blew the candle out for her :) She just stared at the cupcake and didn't really want to eat it...
The next Saturday we had a family birthday party at a nearby park. We had balloons and decorations, but somehow forgot to take a picture....(I think we might have gotten it all on video, though.) But here are a few pictures of Grace on the playground.
This time, she actually dug in:
Then, she decided she was done :)
She is getting so big, I feel like she practically turned into a toddler overnight!
At her one year appointment, she weighed 26 pounds, 98th percentile! She is really trying to talk a lot too, and she is such a copy cat with so many things we say. Here are the words she can say:
uh-oh
mama
dada
dog
buh-bye
muh (means milk)
bath
bubble
puppa (means puppy)
wow
no
and she makes this funny bbzzz noise that means balloon
She babbles so much and I think she thinks she's having an actual conversation with us most of the time, it's adorable!
